Lightcraft is an offshoot of its parent company, Aether Films. We first got together in 2013, leveraging our collective storytelling and technical backgrounds to experiment with aerial platforms and capture some of our favorite sports. As our pursuit evolved, we launched Aether Films, now a go-to production company in Los Angeles and nationally. We decided to start Lightcraft as a way of separating our technical production services from our creative services. While Lightcraft is a relatively recent endeavour, our team remains as dedicated as we were when embarked a decade ago.
As our pursuit evolved, we launched lightcraft, a top tier provider of drone systems and other camera movement platforms. In january of 2022, lightcraft merged operations with astraeus aerial, one of the 5 original uas operators in the us sanctioned by the faa for cinema drone operations. The two companies share a common vision and legacy for the provision of aerial cinematography services. The merger brings enhanced capabilities and resources to both operations. We are a preferred vendor for the major studios and production services worldwide.
